We didn’t just build a shed. We engineered a 7,500m²+ sprawling complex for crisp processing, ambient storage, and cold chain integrity—all executed without disrupting ongoing operations.

Our biggest project to date

Fairfield’s farm are a well-known potato grower and crisp manufacturer. They came to us looking to expand on their current buildings to create extra storage space and a new packhouse.

Phase 1 – The customer had an existing building of Length 40m x Width 24m, Eaves Height of 7m and Roof Pitch of 15 degrees. We added the following extension to the side of this doubling the overall size of the building.

  • Length 40m x Width 24m, Eaves Height of 7m and Roof Pitch of 15 degrees 
  • 100mm composite roof sheets, 100mm composite cladding on side and gable ends. 
  • Installation of 2 Roller Shutter Doors Height 6m x Width 6m. 
  • Installation of 2 Personnel Doors

Phase 2 – We added a twin apex extension nearly doubling the size of the building again.

  • Length 24m, Width 48m, Eaves Height 7m and Roof Pitch of 15 degrees.
  • 100mm composite roof sheets, 100mm composite cladding on sides and gable end. 
  • Installation of 2 Roller Shutter Doors Height 6m x Width 6m
  • Installation of 2 Personnel Doors

Phase 3 – We added a lean to the full length of the building, once again dramatically increasing the overall size of the building 

  • Length 64m x Width 48m, Eaves Height of 7m and Roof Pitch of 15 degrees
  • 100mm composite roof sheets, 100mm composite cladding on side and gable ends
  • Installation of 1 Roller Shutter Door Height 4m x Width 4m
  • Installation of 1 Personnel Door

These 3 phases now make up the customers new packhouse for processing their crisps.

Alongside the new packhouse, the customer also required extra storage space. To create this space in the most efficient way possible we extended and fully clad an existing straw shed we had previously installed for the customer.

Phase 1 – Existing straw building

  • Length 36.57m x Width 24.38m, Eaves Height 7m and Roof Pitch of 15 degrees
  • 60mm composite roof sheets, 0.5mm Plastisol coated box profile steel sheet cladding on gable end. 


Phase 2 – Additional works carried out.

  • Length 36.57m x 24.38m, Eaves Height 7m and Roof Pitch of 15 degrees 
  • 60mm composite roof sheets, 60mm composite cladding to side and gable ends
  • Change existing buildings cladding to 60mm composite cladding 
  • Installation of 1 Roller Shutter Door Height 6m x Width 6m
  • Installation of 1 Personnel Door
We also installed a new twin apex cold store for the customer to store potatoes in optimum conditions.
  • Length 40m x Width 24m (x2 making a total width of 48m), Eaves Height 7m and a Roof Pitch of 15 degrees 
  • 100mm composite roof sheets, 100mm composite cladding to sides and gable ends 
  • Featuring an internal wall, the full width of the building, clad to finished floor level with 0.5mm white poly coated box profile steel sheets
